Multimedia Portables in Teaching

National Council for Educational Technology : "Investigated the benefits of providing teachers with access to portable computers. The Pilot involved 1150 teachers from 575 primary and secondary schools in England.

Each was provided with a multimedia portable computer which could be connected to the Internet, and an Internet subscription. Four different models of computer were used in the project, three of which came with CD-ROMs and with a variety of productivity software."
