alpha (beta): customized search

Psssst. Hey. Want to try something cool? Check out Alpha. It's pretty slick.

It's powered by Yahoo! Search, so you can log in using your Yahoo! ID and create customized information source modules. This is a really handy way to search multiple sites with a single query from information sources you already know and trust in a single place.

When you use Alpha to search for, say, Yahoo! Teachers, you get your regular search results along with video from Jumpcut, pictures from Flickr, or Yahoo! Answers related to that query.

Best of all, you have the flexiblity to add or remove information sources until you get the mix just right.

Give it a try! And check out the alpha (beta) blog too for tips and tricks.
